Mexico Mission Trip

Starmount's Mexico Mission Trip

Starmount is committed to the mission of the church in Mexico.  At least every three years, the mission committee offers a summer mission construction experience.  Starmount members travel with fellow Presbyterians from Salem Presbytery, on a mission partnership week with our brothers and sisters of the Tzeltal Synod of the Presbyterian Church of Mexico.  We do construction work and lead vacation Bible school in a small Mayan village setting in the mountains of Mexico's Chiapas state.

The trip is intergenerational and is open to all Starmount members and friends age 14+ (accompanied by a parent) and age 16+ (accompanied by a parent or appointed guardian).  There is no upper age limit for the trip but those over age 80 should consider the strenuous nature of the work, the basic conditions of village life, and their overall general health before applying.
