Greater Piedmont Teen Challenge
Our church has long supported the Greater Piedmont Teen Challenge organization, which is devoted to helping young men become free of drug addiction. Studies comparing Teen Challenge's success rate with that of publicly funded secular programs show a significantly higher rate for Teen Challenge, a Christian nonprofit program which requires a six-month residency and emphasizes a vibrant faith in Jesus Christ. We believe thisChristian emphasis results in former addicts becoming responsible and productive members of society who stay employed and drug free.
The Teen Challenge program in Greensboro operates a thrift shop called Blessingdales, which accepts usable furniture, appliances, household goods and gently-used clothing.
