Senior Wheels
One of our agencies, Senior Resources of Guilford, does many things to help the seniorcitizens of our county. Among their programs,Senior Wheels is an offering of transportation to any type of medical appointment for those who have no transportation of their own. Starmount is responsible for offering rides in this regard every second Friday.
The Director of Senior Wheels makes contact with our Starmount liaison with the names, addresses, times and places of the medical appointmentsscheduled forour designated date. The Starmount liaison then calls the list of volunteers who have agreed to provide this service.
We generally fill one to four rides each month. Our monetary support is designated for administrative purposes for this program.
